Instead, we have started to accept that there are limits to what human beings can do in the face of physical fatigue due to the pressure of work and the perception of not having the resources to manage the responsibilities of life (being a good definition of stress).
In July 2018 the European Aviation Safety Administration (EASA) issued regulation 2018/1042 that concerns an employer’s obligation to provide for the psychological support of its own flight crews in terms of prevention, support and recovery.
The aim of this regulation is operational safety. This was followed the introduction of Crew Resource Management (CRM) in its different versions, and the studies on fatigue management and flight time limitations. This book, Peer Support is a tool recommended by EASA for achieving these various objectives.
